Ice Cream Trains

All aboard the Ice Cream Train! Enjoy a cool refreshing summer treat from our friends at Sallie's Small Batch Ice Creams before boarding our train to enjoy a leisurely ride through the Indiana Countryside.

Open-air and coach seating is available on our Diesel Ice Cream Trains. You may choose from either coach or open-air car seating upon purchasing tickets. Steam Ice Cream Trains feature open-air or caboose seating only.

Are you ready to take a trip back in time? Then visit the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in northwest Indiana to enjoy one of our normal excursions or themed train rides! Situated near the former junction of the Erie, PRR, C&O, and NYC in historic North Judson, HVRM offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of railroading during its heydays.

Travel through the rural farm country of northern Indiana. See flowers, butterflies, and wildlife as we travel through the remnants of the Grand Kankakee Marsh.

  Adults (Ages 16+): $20
  Children (Ages 3-15): $14
  Toddlers (Ages 0-2): Free

  Infants and toddlers may ride the train for free but must ride on a parent's or guardian's lap. Tickets purchased online will be charged a booking fee. Please read our refund policy.

  All tickets purchased include two scoops of ice cream with your purchase. Additional ice cream may be purchased on-site.

  • Trains run rain or shine.
  • No smoking, alcohol or pets allowed on the train.
  • There are no working restrooms on the train.
  • All trains operate on CENTRAL TIME (Chicago time).
  • Train times are approximate and we are not responsible for delays.
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes early, as late boarding is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to cancel trips and substitute equipment.
