Chicago, South Shore & South Bend Railroad flat car no. X1138 is believed to have built from an old box car. This car was used as a reel car by the South Shore and originally paired with their line car, which is now at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. This car was donated to the museum by the Illinois Railway Museum.
