Experience the sights, smells, and sounds of a live working steam locomotive! Take an excursion behind Bock Lumber Company No. 1 as it puffs along the rails. Ride aboard this countryside excursion in one of our vintage cars.
Special Events
The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum offers a number of special events throughout the year. Many of these trains sell out quickly, so make sure you purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Throttle Time
Have you ever wanted to operate a diesel locomotive? You can at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum! Our Throttle Time Program allows you to climb up into the cab of real diesel engine, pull back on the throttle, ring the bell and blow the horn.
Schedules & Fares
Plan your visit around one of our popular tourist trains. Travel through the rural farm country of Starke and southern LaPorte Counties. Flowers, butterflies, wildlife and a variety of Indiana crops are visible from the train.
Charter a Train
The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum offers chartered train service for bus tours, business meetings, church groups, reunions, school field trips, and other special events. Our chartered trains are available even when the museum is closed.
